Revivals (continued)

(continued from main Revival Page)

In order for these blessings to come, we must realize that it is nothing man can do to bring it about.  Man is not in control – The Lord God Almighty is.  Revival starts in one person, and when that person has met conditions that the Lord has set for us through His Word, good things always happen.  What are these conditions?  They are:

Humility – 2Chronicles 7:14

Prayer – 2Chronicles 7:14 and James 5:16

A Broken Heart – Psalm 34:18

Confession – Psalm 66:18

Repentance – 2Cor. 7:10

Turning from sin – 2Chronicles 7:14

2Chronicles 7:14 says, If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

This is one of the most powerful and personal Scriptures from the Lord God Almighty Himself, for we, his children, to obey.  Most of the problems of the entire world stem from total disobedience of this Scripture from The Great I AM.  In order for Revival to begin, we must dig into this scripture and see what it is the Lord is saying:

He is telling us personally: “If My People,” Which are called by My name,” that means people who call themselves “Christians,” shall (that means will) do what? Humble themselves.  If we refuse to obey this command from God or, we choose to “look the other way” and disregard this direct order from God to us – why would we even bother to continue in this “walk?” It would make no sense.  But for those who choose to  obey God here, He gives us “further instructions,” and they are:

  • Pray, and
  • Seek My face, and
  • Turn from their (our) wicked ways

Then God says, after we have done all of that, He promises:

  • Will I hear from heaven, and
  • Will forgive their sin, and
  • Will heal their land

This scripture is a turning point in the walk of Christians worldwide.

Samuel Daniyan World Ministries has personally pleaded with God to allow these ministries to be saturated with His Holy Spirit, together with: signs, wonders, miracles, powers, authority; and with the grace to bind, loose, and release the captives and set them free!  Revival is primarily for believers and insiders, but it also affects outsiders as well.  The Lord has commissioned these Ministries as an Evangelistic Crusader to launch revival campaigns to those inside and outside the church and utilize the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ as a vehicle to fulfill these unique tasks.  Also the essence of these revival campaigns is that Holy Spirit of God will descend and preside over them in order to:

    • Convert people on the way to the Revival
    • Convert people during the Revival
    • Convert people as they are contemplating about “going” to the Revival
    • Allow Preachers and Evangelists to testify
    • Influence the unsaved world
    • Provoke Christians to have their faith renewed in Christ Jesus
    • Channel people to obey God
    • Pave the way for people to truly surrender themselves to God
    • Bring Christians under conviction, then,
    • Bring the church under conviction
    • Challenge backslidden Christians to true repentance
    • Ask God to visit during the Revival
    • Anticipate the witnessing of miracles during the Revival
    • Cause excitement in people about what God is doing in their lives
    • Cause people to stop the groaning and agonizing about what is going on in their individual lives
    • Minister to an empty life and refill them to the maximum based on the Word and Message of God
    • Bring back the lack of presence of God in church meetings and the various problems often associated with Revival
    • Supernaturally draw people to the meeting who were not even thinking of coming

An authentic and Holy Spirit-filled Revival must be marked by the following:

  1. The Presence of God
  2. The Reverence for God
  3. Acknowledging God
  4. The Fear of God
  5. The Glory of God

People will know Revival is coming when the presence of God is already on the premises, hovering and waiting for God’s people to attend, because some have taken the time to pray over the area long before the revival is due to begin.

During the Revival no provisions such as water, coffee, food and the like will be provided because the Holy Spirit is in total control of the proceedings.  Therefore, the personal wants and needs of the people will be temporarily subjected and yielded to the Holy Spirit of the Living God. (Water would be available under certain circumstances).

A Revival could start at 6PM, and it may not come to an end until the next morning where people are not concerned about time limitations.

If there is no willingness on our part to sincerely forsake sin and align ourselves to true repentance in the first place, how can there be Revival?  It is Impossible and it will not happen.

Jesus’ brother, James, wrote this, under the unction of the Holy Spirit in James 5:16, “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Psalm 66:18 says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.”

We need to ask the Lord for wisdom when we obey James 5:16, because Jesus Christ Himself said in Luke 6:46, “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” There are many who call themselves “Christians,” and Jesus Christ knew exactly who He was speaking to: then, now, and in the future.  Confessing your faults to God is the correct thing to do, and sometimes to one another, and to your pastors.  Pastors are representatives of God Himself who the Lord uses to help us.  So when we truly confess our faults one to another, and we pray for one another, then, 2Chronicles 7:14 becomes our starting point to obey God, and when we do, He does exactly what He promised so “We may be healed!” In other words, when we pray “for real” (fervently), God does the rest!  Then our prayers will go a long way with God! In fact, they go right to The Throne of Grace!  Praise the Lord.  But if we “flip the page” so to speak, will The Lord God Almighty hear me if I have iniquity in my heart? NO.

Revival means: “To come back to life.”  Does that mean that you are dead?  A true Revival comes when you admit that you are dead and far away from God.

Revival means to examine yourself from the inside out – it is an awakening moment in your life when you knew that something was still lacking and you couldn’t “put your finger on it.” This is also called the stirring of His Holy Spirit within you.

Psalm 34:18 says: “O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” The Apostle Paul wrote the same Words another way in 2Timothy 2:15: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” When you have decided to saturate yourself with God’s Word, you will then realize a deep, personal revelation of “Tasting and seeing that The Lord is good!” Will you be blessed by God?  Absolutely!

A true Revival is when you see cars stop right in the middle of the street, people getting out of them, getting on their knees and crying out to the Lord, repenting!  A true Revival is when people in bars and clubs come running out of them, some lying prostrate on the ground, repenting of their sins before a Holy God!

From the time Jesus began to preach, in Matthew 4:17, the First Word from His lips was, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.  In reality without a genuine repentance, there will be no room for a Holy Spirit-Filled Revival.  The special invitation has been personally remitted to youtoday by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  What are your decisions?  Would you honor this exclusive invitation extended to you by the Prince of peace?  “Repent and come to this revival today”.  If your answer is yes, you will not regret it because Jesus Christ Himself is already at the revival grounds waiting and anticipating your arrival.

What can hinder Revival?  Sin! Pure and simple!  Sin paves the way for separation between God and man.  The fountain of sin needs to be broken up.  Psalm 66:18 reveals that:  “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.”  Men, women, boys, girls, young, old, residents, aliens, together with the incapacitated, are openly encouraged to run from their sin.  Sin destroys relationships between God and men; it also shatters personal relationships with your friends and family members.  Sin is a mode of self-centeredness; it is just about you and you only.  Sin becomes a vehicle of enslavement and destruction.  Sin ultimately cuts life short of its full course. Sin prevents people from truly loving others.  If sin is not seriously dealt with, sometimes it overwhelmingly becomes habits, and may eventually lead to addictions.  Sin places blockage between men and God from your petition being heard.  Most especially those sins that are remotely hidden in the depth of your hearts must be dealt with before a Holy and Righteous God, and then allow the bell of a Holy Spirit-Filled Revival to be rung in your soul today.

Complete Surrender:  Acts 9:5-6 and Romans 12:1-2

God was using Saul, The “Christian slaughterer,” as the prime example of complete surrender: “And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 6. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.” …And God later  changed Saul’s name to Paul…  When the Apostle Paul finally relinquished himself to Jesus Christ, he paved the way for the King of glory to convert him to be a suitable fisher of men.   A complete surrender navigates the road for Jesus Christ to work in you, and when He does, He will implement Jeremiah 1: 5 which says: “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations which He has designed for you before the foundation of the world.”

The root and the backbone of sin must be demolished.  The root and the backbone of sin are your appetite to commit sin, your lack of discipline to control what you envisage with your eyes and most of the time navigates an itinerary to transgression.

Romans 12:1-2, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” These great words of God are simply an ongoing reminder of 2Chronicles 7:14, after they have been applied in our very lives.

It is God who gives us the rules – it is we who choose to obey them or not.

Revival starts in each and every one of us who are sold out totally to Jesus Christ. There are many books and songs that have been written about Revival.  However: all comes to naught unless and until we are completely:

  • Washed
  • Dried
  • Tried in the fire
  • Fanned in the flames, and
  • Cleansed by the blood of the Lamb.

Lord, let Revival first start with me.
